The YMath Program
YMath® is a New Jersey not-for-profit company created to provide free one-on-one tutoring in mathematics to those not in a position to pay for private tutors. The program began in 2013 and quickly grew from one tutor and two students to approximately 75 tutors who help more than 100 students each week. To date, YMath has provided over 20,000 hours of free academic support in math to more than 1,500 students. The program is open to students in grades 2 through 12. The tutors teach elementary mathematics, middle school mathematics, Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II and Trigonometry.

Founder’s Notes
"I have enjoyed tutoring other students since I was in middle school. One of my most memorable students, who had seen the greatest academic and attitude improvement, came from a family that would never had been able to pay for tutoring. She drove my commitment to help students without the resources to pay a private tutor."
